5 days (3 Overnight Stays)
The aim of this course is to take the skills learnt on the previous courses and provide a real opportunity for students to experience true Bushcraft living. They will have to solve a variety of problems using tracking, fire making and shelter building whilst working effectively in teams. There will be opportunities for them to sleep out in personal shelters and to take more responsibility for their own welfare.
As the practical challenges increase, so do the personal ones and these will continue to be explored safely. There will be an opportunity to take part in a “rites of passage” ceremony to mark their involvement and to signify moving on to the next stage in their lives. Students will be encouraged to make personal pledges for the future and to release negative behaviours and experiences into the past.
