basic bushcraft (level 1)

3 days, including one overnight stay

This course offers an exciting introduction to bushcraft. By the second day, the group will be responsible for preparing their own meal and looking after camp, as well as learning a range of Bushcraft techniques. An example of the course looks like this:

Day One (9.30am –3.00pm)

  • Setting up camp – selecting site, putting up teepee’s, collecting firewood etc.
  • Camp safety, countryside awareness and Behaviour Contract
  • Lunch
  • Fire Demonstration and Fire Making skills

Day Two (9.30am – overnight)

  • Shelter building
  • Team activities
  • Camp Craft
  • Evening meal
  • Camp fire activities

Day Three (Breakfast – 2.00pm)

  • Breakfast
  • Tracking – skills and games
  • Certificate presentation
  • Lunch
  • Breaking Camp
